Picnic Corporation has officially rebranded to VanishID and secured a fresh $10 million funding round to sharpen its focus on digital privacy and security.
Alongside the new name, VanishID launched a CEO Protection offering specifically tailored to the unique risks faced by chief executives and their families.
The new CEO Protection package includes:
- Continuous dark web monitoring for compromised credentials
- Detection and takedown of fake social media profiles
- Identification of misconfigured public-facing websites
- Malware protection for executive devices
- Automated takedown capabilities for exposed data
And it’s not limited to just the executives—their families are covered too, recognizing that personal attacks often extend beyond the individual target.
For broader organizational needs, VanishID’s Employee Protection extends these capabilities across the workforce, with a focus on continuous monitoring and automated mitigation when exposures happen.
One of the most interesting shifts with this rebrand is VanishID’s embrace of agentic AI.
Rather than just flagging problems, VanishID is moving toward AI systems that act autonomously—scanning, identifying risks, and initiating takedowns without waiting for manual intervention.
That’s a critical advantage when minutes matter in stopping data leaks, impersonation attempts, or malware attacks targeting public-facing leaders.
The Funding and What’s Next
The $10 million funding round includes backers like:
- Dell Technologies Capital
- Former Palo Alto Networks CEO Mark McLaughlin
- Crosslink Capital
- Rally Ventures
- Energy Impact Partners
- Bright Pixel
- LockStep Ventures
This capital injection is aimed at expanding product capabilities and accelerating go-to-market efforts, meaning we should expect to see VanishID ramp up visibility, integrations, and service offerings in the coming months.
As McLaughlin put it:
“VanishID is enabling executives to stay in the public eye while maintaining their privacy and security, helping both organizations and individuals.”
